Elizabeth M. Orsay, MD
Just miles away from her hometown in Lexington, Kentucky, Dr. Elizabeth M. Orsay completed her undergraduate studies in just three years at the University of Kentucky. She was awarded a Bachelor of General Studies, and quickly moved on to the university’s medical school. She received her Medical Degree in 1981, and fulfilled an internship at Cook County Hospital in 1982. In 1984 Dr. Orsay completed her residency at the University of Florida with Emergency Medicine. Receiving certifications in 1985, 1995, and 2005 from the American Board of Emergency Medicine has helped her to earn a spot on the leadership team at both the University of Illinois Medical Center and now, as practice manager for the Emergency Department at Midwest Medical Center. Her professional participation in vehicle safety and alumni relations are key to advancing her career. While her work with both hospitals keeps her very busy, her home life keeps her even busier. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, gardening, church choir, and hosting foreign exchange students. |
