Ralph K. Losey, MD, FACEP

Originally from Princeton, Illinois, Dr. Ralph K. Losey attended Loyola University of Chicago majoring in psychology with the goal of attending medical school. He received his Medical Degree from Northwestern University Medical School in 1983 and did his post graduate residency training with the University of Illinois Affiliated Residency in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Losey first received board certification from the American Board of Emergency Medicine in 1987, and has been recertified twice, in 1996 and 2006, and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. Dr. Losey is an assistant clinical professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Illinois Medical School in Chicago where he is involved in teaching the art and skills of the emergency medicine profession to medical students and physicians in training. Dr. Losey is a career emergency physician with over 20 years in the specialty; his patients and their positive outcomes are extremely important to him. On a personal level, family life has a high priority to Dr. Losey with a son in high school and a daughter in college. He also enjoys carpentry, construction/remodeling, photography and spending time at his farm in southwest Wisconsin.
