K. Jeffrey Hill, President & Chief Executive Officer
Jeff believes what Churchill proclaimed, “To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.” Since arriving at Midwest Medical Center, Jeff has inspired a very dedicated healthcare team and hospital board to embrace change in order to help the organization realize a vision of healthcare service excellence, and to create a model of healthcare delivery that focuses on individual-centered care. As the person ultimately responsible for the organization’s leadership, strategy, financial responsibility and social mission, Jeff is committed to bringing the very best that healthcare can offer to the people and communities the hospital serves. |

Tracy Bauer, Chief Financial Officer
A member of the Executive Management Team, Tracy is responsible for helping to manage the overall financial health of the hospital and healthcare center. She prepares budgets, financial statements and other key financial reports. She also develops and monitors credit policy and other business office practices to make sure the hospital receives appropriate reimbursement for the services that are provided. Tracy believes that a small rural hospital is critical to the well-being of the community it serves, and she is committed to Midwest Medical Center's continued growth and success. |

Ralph K. Losey, Chief Medical Officer
Originally from Princeton, Illinois, Dr. Ralph K. Losey attended Loyola University of Chicago majoring in psychology with the goal of attending medical school. He received his Medical Degree from Northwestern University Medical School in 1983 and did his post graduate residency training with the University of Illinois Affiliated Residency in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Losey first received board certification from the American Board of Emergency Medicine in 1987, and has been recertified twice, in 1996 and 2006, and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. Dr. Losey is an assistant clinical professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Illinois Medical School in Chicago where he is involved in teaching the art and skills of the emergency medicine profession to medical students and physicians in training. Dr. Losey is a career emergency physician with over 20 years in the specialty; his patients and their positive outcomes are extremely important to him. On a personal level, family life has a high priority to Dr. Losey with a son in high school and a daughter in college. He also enjoys carpentry, construction/remodeling, photography and spending time at his farm in southwest Wisconsin. |

Deb Hoppman, RN, Chief Nurse Officer
Deb enjoys making a difference in the life of patients, “whether it’s providing direct, hands-on care, or offering guidance in making decisions which best meet the needs of everyone involved.” She oversees day-to-day operations throughout all patient care departments, and also ensures that care is provided according to policies and procedures, and all federal and state guidelines. Deb has been with the organization for over 15 years and she enjoys the family-oriented environment. She believes that working in a community hospital “allows for more autonomy and enables us to provide exceptional personal care to our patients.”

Melissa Conley, Human Resources Director
Melissa takes care of the people who take care of the patients at Midwest Medical Center and Galena-Stauss Senior Care Community. She enjoys working with such a diverse group of employees. Melissa’s mission is simple, “To treat others the way you want them to treat you.” She has the opportunity to put this into action every day whether she’s explaining benefits, helping with a personal problem, or making the work environment a little more enjoyable. “I’m here for the employees,” she says. “That’s a privilege.” |
