John Cooke is now retired after serving as a Senior Vice President with McDonald's Corporation in Oak Brook, IL. He began his term on the Midwest Medical Center board in 2005. |

Cheryl Farruggia
Cheryl Farruggia joined the Board in January of 2008. Cheryl holds an MBA in Long Term Care Administration from Georgetown University, a BA in Nutrition from Whitewater University and she is the former Executive Director of Beacon Hill Retirement Community based in Lombard, Illinois. Cheryl relocated to Galena in 2001 to pursue her 20 year dream of owning and operating a Bed & Breakfast in Northwest Illinois, which she has now succeeded as owner of the Cloran Mansion. She is a current Board member and past President of the Galena Area Chamber of Commerce. |

Dale Henze
Dale Henze is the former principal of Galena Middle School. He is now a Professor at University Wisconsin Platteville. He began serving on the board in 2004. |

Helen Kilgore
Helen Kilgore is a new member of the Midwest Medical Center board. Her term began in May of 2007 and she is the former President of the Jo Daviess County Board of Health and the current Mayor of Elizabeth, Illinois, a neighboring community to the East of Galena. |

Martin S. Lipsky, MD
Dr. Lipsky is the Regional Dean of the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Rockford. He serves on the editorial boards for the University’s Family Practice Recertification, Education for Health, and Disease a Month. With over 100 peered reviewed publications, Dr. Lipsky has edited six books including a popular family medicine textbook and three books about medicine for the non-professional. He has been named a “Top Doc” by Castle and Connolly Medical Ltd., Chicago Magazine, and Architectural Digest. Dr. Lipsky is also instrumental in bringing the Illinois Rural Medical Education Program (RMED) to Midwest Medical Center. RMED provides opportunities to 15 students each year who pledge to return to rural Illinois upon completion of residencies, and practice primary care medicine. |

Dan Mennenoh
Dan Mennenoh is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Midwest Medical Center. He is also the owner of H.B. Wilkinson Title Company in Galena. Prior to this new term, Dan served the Board of Galena-Stauss Hospital & Healthcare Center for nine years. In 2006, Dan was nominated for Modern Healthcare Magazine’s Trustee of the Year. |

Bill Morden
Bill Morden was the advertising director for Sears. Now retired, he lives in the Galena Territory and serves as Treasurer for the Midwest Medical Center Board of Directors, a term which began in 2006. |

Mary Rooney-Sheahen
Mary Rooney-Sheahen, RN is the Vice Chair of the Midwest Medical Center Board of Directors. She is the former CEO of Mercy Hospital in Aurora, IL and is currently serving as Executive Director for the Illinois Organization of Nurse Leaders (IONL). Mary and husband Chuck are also owners of the Wild Clover Day Spa in Galena. Mary joined the board in 2006. |

John Sedan is the owner of Technical Sealants, Inc. located in Galena. John is now serving for the third time on the hospital board. His first term was in 2002 and then he returned in 2005 prior to his appointment in 2006. He has also served on various hospital committees. |
